THEREFORE I WILL NOT FEAR || PSALM 46

Hello friend,

Welcome back to this little corner of the Internet! So the other day I woke up a little overwhelmed with everything that is going on, as most of us may be. As I was having my devotion that morning I was writing in my prayer journal and the verse at the bottom of the page was psalm 46:1 which says: “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” Isn’t it funny how those verses on the prayer journal just speak straight to your situation every time.

This really struck me and spoke straight to my heart. So then I went to the rest of psalm 46 and it once again went straight to my heart. Your mind may be racing and your heart full of fears but stand in this truth today, friend.

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we (i) will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts. The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Come and see what the Lord has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth. He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire. He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.” – Psalms 46

Before you go, I would love to pray with you. If you have ANY prayer requests leave them in the comments and let’s be community.
